design development

These are a few of my designs that i have produced on cad and have had them printed digitally onto mouseline chiffon. they look so beautiful on the fabric... sorry i haven't got any images to show you. the designs are simple, geometric and playful but when printed onto the chiffon they become sophisticated. i am interested in developing the idea of layering the geometric prints up for this trend.

sketchbook pages

just a few pages from my sketchbook. block shape and colour is important as well as thinking about smaller areas that could help with development of this trend when i take my inspiration into the print room....

Inspiration

Just a few of my contextual images for the trend, world through a window, colour ways and geometric shape and scale are elements that i shall work with for my designs.

Paris Piccys

Summer 2008 i went to paris for premiere vision but still found time to do some sight seeing. The images here are of architecture and again have come in handy for this trend, world through a window. Some people wonder why i take so many pictures? you never know when they might come in handy.

Milan photos

For my 21st i was lucky enough to go to milano with my mum and i had a fabulous time. as usual i was constantly taking pictures and here are a few that have been inspirational for my project. The contrast between old and new buildings work well when comparing these images with the new york and paris photos.

new york photos

I took these photos back in feb 2007, seems like forever ago now but it was one of my favourite places i have been. The images that i took whilst i was there have become extremely helpful for this trend. This is a small selection of them.

world through a window

this is the second trend that i am predicting for autumn/winter 2011/12. it is foucsing on the evolution of architecture, therefore i shall be studying old and new buildings to get inspiration for the future. Colour and geometric shapes are very important for this trend.
